SUMMARY
On december 4th the government of Ecuador shut down due to an indigenous advocate organization. the president accused the men of aggression to Belarus and chiles ambassador. There have been lots of protesting ever since the government wanted to start drilling in "yasuni" a national park the people don't want him to drill there. a women who worked for the government said that “an arbitrary act that seeks to repress our legitimate right to dissent from the national government’s decision to grant oil companies concessions in territories of Amazonian indigenous nationalities without respecting their constitutional rights, especially to free, prior and informed consultation.”
REFLECTION
well, you know its never good when the government stops listening to its people. The major problem for me is I do not understand why? why make all these people upset over money. I do understand that there is a lot of money in oil but come on here, people live in those rain forests. People i might add, that have not even had much interaction with civilization. how can ou kick thoughs people out of there homes so you can drill. They are your people to, come on now
TIES IN WITH POLITICS
This event is important to the politics of this county because the people of this county are being miss treated. I mean yes every government can not please everybody. Maybe thats what the president is thinking. If he can help a lot of people out or most then its ok to take some risks. i think this is a pretty big risk and he should DEFIANTLY think about everything before he makes any decisions.
